HOW: 9x Email/SMS revenue in 30-days

One month in of working with a journal brand, we took their email/SMS rev from:

$3.5k/month to $30k/month

Before I tell you how I did it, I'll tell you the situation they were in before.

They had very little prior email.

A pop-up with a submit rate of 3% and a welcome flow.

They couldn't scale because their backend systems were not prepared

So we stepped in and implemented our Staircase System

1. List Grotwh

Fixed their pop-up to opt-in 10% by adding microcommitments and testing new offers

2. Pre-purchase flows

Implemented their abandoned flows to be very punchy with a motivating tone. Their brand image is building motivation in go-getters; our team matched that perfectly

3. Post-purchase flow

Implemented a step-by-step post-purchase system that triggers based on how often the buyer has ordered. We haven't seen the effects of these yet because some won't trigger for a few months, but we're excited to see.

4. Campaign Sending

Started sending 4 nurturing campaigns per week to a smaller engaged list. Their deliverability was pretty poor, so we hammered in on fixing it to expand our send size in the 2nd month.
