WWE is fake.

And I f*cking love it

When I was 10, I got the video game Smackdown vs Raw 2008 from a local Gamestop.

I spent the next 5 years making wrestling my personality.

Every Monday and Sunday, my dad and I would watch big, sweaty men (and women) wrestle each other with scripted outcomes. We’d even go to the live events every time they hit Philly.

I even met John Cena, as seen here:

I loved it. (and yes I was indeed quite a round child)

But not necessarily for all the action, but instead the storylines.

They reflected real-life events but in the most cartoonish way possible.

It was nothing like the brain-rotting Spongebob or typical Disney Channel show… it was real.

The scripts they made created so many different emotions. They built excitement, disappointment, and sadness… sh*t they did the whole spectrum.

Honestly, I attribute much of my love of copywriting and emails that generate millions of dollars for eCom brands to WWE… as corny or uncorny as that may seem.

Because copywriting is precisely what the WWE is: building emotion to engage an audience so they can create action.

I’m writing this today because when Wrestlemania came to Philly last year, I fell back in love with WWE. I was able to buy tickets for my dad and my best friend, and it felt like the ultimate blessing.

Which is funny because it was right around the time my agency started taking new heights.

If you want my team and I to create emails for your brand with the same love and passion I have for wrestling… click HERE to book a chat about how we can increase your email revenue by $50-250k.

Going to go watch some Randy Orton highlights now…

Talk soon,
